COST

Crossway has been established as a low cost, high-quality counselling service. Our fees are designed to be affordable and accessible based on your circumstances. A genuine lack of capacity to cover the cost of counselling will never be an impediment to receiving assistance. This is possible because of the generosity of North Beach Baptist Church, who heavily subsidise Crossway.

Crossway has adopted a flexible, scaled fee structure. Fee levels will reflect the client’s capacity to pay and will always be taken in good faith at the discretion of the Counsellor. As a general guide, the following scales will apply:

  • The first session will always be free of charge.

  • Crossway is a subsidised, not for profit organisation. Clients who are not experiencing substantial financial pressures will be charged $100 per 50 minute session, which is less than the actual cost of the service.

  • Clients experiencing some financial pressures, or who are from single-income households will be charged at a discounted rate of $70 per 50 minutes.

  • Clients experiencing significant financial pressures will be charged at the highly subsidised rate of $50 per 50 minutes.

  • Clients who are facing severe financial hardship can request a higher financial subsidy.

  • Government-sponsored clients (including NDIS) will be charged the standard rate for service.

Please note: Clinical Psychologists routinely charge around $100 per session in addition to the Medicare Rebate (and over twice that in the absence of a Medicare rebate). This means that even in the absence of a Medicare rebate, the out-of-pocket expense for our most expensive tier is comparable with most Clinical Psychologist fees.

Ongoing fees will be discussed as part of your first, free appointment. Payments are to be made at the time of booking, via the Crossway website. If you are not comfortable paying online yourself, Crossway reception staff can help you.
