Need Help Dealing with Grief?
Join our GriefShare Grief Support Group

Each person’s response to the loss of a loved one is unique, and no grief journey looks exactly the same. There is no ’right way’ to grieve and grief cannot be rushed. However, those who grieve experience many of the same challenges. Regrets, fear, loneliness or anger are common struggles. Finding support is crucial and a GriefShare group is a safe place to find support.
What is a GriefShare?
GriefShare (www.Griefshare.org) is a grief support program that helps people find comfort after the loss of a loved one. A GriefShare group provide valuable support, guidance and tips on how to navigate the grief process to find comfort and peace of mind. Instead of walking alone, find out how helpful it is to have people walk alongside you on your grief journey. Some parts of the program include information from the Christian Bible. People of all faiths, or no faith, are very welcome.
GriefShare has been running for over 25 years. Over this time there have been many enhancements made. The edition of program that we are using is brand new – released in July 2023!
How is the program structured?
A GriefShare group runs for 13 weeks.
-
Each weekly meeting begins with a 30-minute video. The video features respected experts on grief-related topics as well as the stories of people with lived experience of grief.
-
After the video, group members discuss aspects of the video and can share their grief experience should they wish to. Each discussion is led by a trained facilitator.
-
Each participant receives a workbook with content related to the week’s video and discussion, plus further questions to help participants apply what they’ve learnt in the video and discussion.
